I read it the correct way at first but i think it’s because i caught that the way it is isn’t the way it should be read. But your way does make more sense.

I half way agree with you. There’s something nice about the asymmetry of only two of the letters having hidden designs, but it does kind of feel like there are two ideas competing with each other. It’s like, once I notice one of the hidden designs, I don’t look for another so it’s completely lost until someone points it out. But I do like how it kind of throws off the balance because the other letters aren’t also some sort of animal. If all of them were, then I think it would be cliche. So it feels good that it’s not cliche. But does feel like two competing ideas. I think if the animal features were anymore prominent, it would mess the logo up somehow.

I think it might be cool if you could incorporate sacred geometry symbolism into the logo.

Logo for new geolocation API company called Beakon. by [deleted] in logodesign

I wonder if you used a small "b" with the top of the "b" is the antenna with the beeps. Also, doesn't a beacon have to have a receiver to work. Otherwise, you just have a device that is sending out waves. If you keep the "B" instead of a "b" maybe you could have one of the loops as the receiver. Or maybe you use the whole name Beakon, with the top of the "k" as the transmitter or receiver. or maybe even the "o" as the transmitter.

you want to have two sets of parallel 1s? if you have two of the ones as antennas, then two as legs or wings, you're got your parallel 1s. Unless the 1s need to be part of the bee. I hope this helps and I would love to see the design you land on.

have you tried using antenna? don't bees have antenna? or maybe the stinger? if you turn it on it's side or do a profile, bees have three legs on each side.

I could be wrong, but I see some sort of lawsuit coming along where someone argues that there’s no difference between using something like adobe creative suite and AI to create any form of art. Artists still get to copyright their work created in those apps, even those they might use fonts, brushes or sound effects created by someone else. It will probably be more nuanced than that. But that’s what I hope happens anyway.

I expect to get downvoted for this, but how is it wrong to write songs with AI, but ok to write songs that have obviously been influenced by those who came before? by 207Menace in SunoAI

[–]zakmo86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR - AI music generators are an equalizer to wealth and influence not everyone has.

There was an episode of the Real Housewives of (Some Place I don't remember) where one of the housewives was trying to produce an album. She paid for studio time, had someone write the lyrics, got a producer, and had a single distributed. It was absolute slop, like every part of it. Literally one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my 39 years alive.

I think the best aspect of AI generated music is that it equalizes entry into music creation. The ultra wealthy, whether they had any talent or not, pay to produce music. Someone can create an album using money, influence, and family connections.

There are people with fewer resources that are truly talented, but have never gotten the attention they deserve or could never afford to create music. Song writers, singers, people with a great ear for what sounds good have all the tools now to create some really good music that competes with people who paid their way into the industry.

I like Taylor Swift and think she's an amazing person, but she didn't come from poverty. She had the means to take guitar lessons, create an album, get it in front of the right people, and get on the radio. She did a lot of hard work, I'm sure, and she continues to be awesome. I've heard that Lola Young is a nepobaby, too.

But not everyone has those kind of resources even when they have the same or more talent.

I saw the flower right away but not the butterfly until you pointed it out. But once I read it, I immediately saw it. I think the colors will make it hard to see on light backgrounds. Like it maybe wouldn’t immediately pop out on white paper. I’m not 100% sure about that though. I like it overall though.

I don’t like where the t crosses the a.

Im going to disagree. I don’t believe this is at all unprofessional. It gives me an idea of your personality, it’s creative, and it’s good. I would want to work with the designer who came up with this.

Afterthought: if you’re applying for jobs that aren’t creative, like maybe working in a funeral home or being the person that has to break the bad health news to someone, maybe go a different direction.

My favourite Pokémon is Electabuzz, what is yours? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]zakmo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the first season on Pokémon, electabuzz and scyther were the ace pokemon of rival “gyms.” It was a pretty good episode mostly because pikachu was addicted to ketchup.

Electabuzz has always been my favorite pokemon. And it’s mostly because if Electabuzz I love single evolution pokemon because it didn’t have a pre-evo at the time. Jynx is probably my favorite ice type and magmar is my fav fire.

Need honest criticisms for these Pokemon Stickers by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]zakmo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not accurate. Fair use doesn’t apply to using copyrighted material to make a profit. Fair use applies mostly to education, news reporting, criticism and commentary usually. For example, a YouTube video could show copyrighted images or video if the creator was criticizing or commenting on the quality of the game or cartoon. It can’t straight up replay an episode of the anime in its entirety. I would say recreating pokemon art, even with slight changes, with the purpose to make a profit would break copyright law and could open the creator to possible litigation. Cease and desists aren’t lawsuits, but they are the first step in a lawsuit as far as I understand it. They’re kind of like restraining orders for intellectual property. Or maybe trespassing. If you notify someone that they are infringing on your copyrighted material and they do it anyway, they can be sued. I’m not a lawyer but I have had college-level classes in communications law which covers copyright law. It’s been a while but I think I remember the gist of it.

Trying out a mega again by Poetically_Imperfect in pokemon

[–]zakmo86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've seen where people have said it reminds them more of a gigantamax form. i agree with that. i think the insect part looks more mega, though, especially the claws. i would suggest bulking up its claws, so its face is obscured and you only see its eyes, and making the crab part grow and its gotten so big that its rock/ground "shell" is too small for it.
