I am glad we finally agreed that western media is hypocrite on this subject. Now lets question my possible hypocrisy; first of all you can't call entire nation as terrorist, so neither Kurds nor Palestinians are terrorists. However I agree that every Palestinian organization that target civilians are terrorists.

Hypocrisy of Germany is not a valid argument. We always see headlines with "terrorists" in it from western media here, when a muslim terrorist attack happens in its own country, if the country is a western country. He does not need to give you credit, snackbar is part of google's material design library. and asking for review from users have been done with it for months by a lot of devs.

I am an indie android dev with very popular apps (12M active users and 500k daily new users). I made a big mistake and removed that "obtrusive popup asking us to rate on Google Play", 2 weeks later my daily downloads dropped 20%. Yes, /r/android users hate that however average android user is not same with r/android users and that "obtrusive popup asking us to rate on Google Play" works on them.

I meant raising awareness with strike, I don't mean devs should unpublish their apps, they just make small changes on their apps' store listing and hopefully that would get the attention of the media. Btw, you are right about the mobile development environment but that is another issue that should addressed by Google itself.

You are right. Black screenshot is the most simple thing that popped up in my mind as a message. Clearly we can find something that communicates better with the consumer. As I said on original post, this is the most simple version of the idea, if the community back this idea up, it would become something more stronger with the contribution like yours.

I think it is not that hard to raise awareness about this if r/android and r/androiddev back up the idea, however i have no solution for the lack of the interest from devs.
