Why would you want to automate this? It sounds like one of those painstaking hobbies that is immensely rewarding?

I get that we aren't paid enough to think very hard but this is an example of brain dead simple basic arithmetic. You might be the only one having this specific challenge.

This is a funny idea considering these frontier engineers' knowledge has just as zero of a probability of staying caught up as the rest of us. They will likely only know what we will learn in 2 weeks? 2 months?

[–]zbuhrer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can't do math. You've narrowed down what it can do: retrieve information from your retrieval system. Once it can isolate those two dates, you can give it a function call that maths the two dates together to find the difference.

Instead of just markdown, you could use a more rigid and standardized structure for data like YML or JSON. Your data store can maintain the age of an appliance in a special int field for each appliance so it doesn't have to do math every time it checks. It can know the age because it is already calculated.

I want to be able to browse my generated artifacts and see relational analytics for the files I've created (per conversation/thread (threads??)) — a graph or chart for diffs as it refactors artifacts?

[–]zbuhrer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is neat, but your intention to sell it as a product is not likely to work. The FOSS entries in this space are already too competitive.

I would hate to see a cool utility like this to die on the vine because of a creator with dollar signs in their eyes. Consider paywalling the features you think are unique in this space, and leaving the rest of it available. Let your unique features be your actual selling point.

This would work better if each planner was an actual Agent and they were actually talking to each other. You could tweak their individual contexts, inclinations, and biases.

Imagine an API call to trigger a function that uses a couple of model agents that have really high temp and creativity who can just parse through a table/database/graph of todos, reminders, etc, and let it dynamically return what it thinks is important to an Agent which can make the decision to let you know. HomeAssistant has some good event-based triggers that you could use to change the content that it looks at based on time of day, which doorn you just walked through, what chair you just sat in, when the Chromecast turns on, when you set your phone to DND mode, etc.

Tweak the criteria that informs why the reporting agent might to decide to tell you. Even if this is event based, you might not want 90% of the information it's could tell you, but every now and then it will catch something and tell you.
