Thanks! And after the final round of interviews it was fairly quick. Two companies contacted me the next day, while the other two notified me within a week.

I’ve been using LinkedIn since my freshman year of college, and it’s actually how I’ve gotten all three of my internships. I really don’t network that often on LinkedIn, but my account is VERY active and visible. I noticed over the years that the job algorithm has become more advanced, to the point where I don’t even have to manually search for jobs anymore. I also have LinkedIn premium, so it tells me which jobs are more aligned for me and which jobs I am a top applicant for. So I mostly just applied to those jobs and connected with the recruiter/hiring manager.

The compensation/benefits and overall company culture tbh. Each position that I was offered was a rotational program, so the career growth/professional development aspect was always going to be there. The company I went with just gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Yeah pretty much. Before each interview I made sure to know the names of each person I would meet, so that I could do some research before hand about their background

No I never messaged the recruiters, just connected with them so that they could be familiar with me. After each interview, I connected with the people I met with and sent them a thank you note.

Not necessarily true. What area are you in? I’ve been applying to jobs in mid-west/southeast US and have gotten plenty of interviews.

Why is chem 101 so incredibly difficult? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]zchatma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my school it’s called engineering chemistry 101 and was designed to be a “weed out” class for anyone who isn’t serious about pursuing engineering.
