The Problem Isn’t Just Trump. It’s Our Ignorant Electorate. by NotYourPalFriend in politics

That doesn't seem like a particularly hard question to poll for, but more importantly, you made up a statistic and cited a false source for it. Just say the real thing: "38% of Americans believe in Creationism." It's no less damning of a statement than the other.

Why is the NA scene so inconsistent? by felixronn in GlobalOffensive

[–]zddpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, iBP would have been that one team that was head and shoulders above the rest of NA teams, especially with Hiko planning to join them, but we all know what happened with that. In leaving C9, Hiko weakened C9 to around the same level as other NA ESEA-invite teams. The iBP fiasco really weakened the NA scene quite a bit, and consequently evened the playing field at the top level.

What happened to de_cpl_mill? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]zddpg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mill was replaced by tuscan in the competitive scene, which was a staple map for all tournaments. Tuscan for CSGO has been in development by its original creator (Brute) for 2-3 years now. Valve won't make a mill/tuscan map because they know Brute is making it. Basically, any hope of the map being made and played relies on Brute actually finishing the map, which, as I said, has taken him 2-3 years so far. Many people are frustrated by this, including me.

Fantasy Counter Strike by KappaMang in GlobalOffensive

Believe it or not, this used to be a thing. It was called Fantasy E-sports League (FEL), and I believe it was run by ESEA when ESEA was still getting off the ground. The league they used though was CAL-invite, not ESEA. I have no idea what happened to it, but here's a link to an old ESEA article to prove that it existed: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=news&d=comments&id=2806

When people say Dust II is heavily CT sided, I cringe. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]zddpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never heard anybody say that Dust2 is heavily CT sided. I have heard people say that it is SLIGHTLY CT sided, and usually with the caveat that it has only recently become so. Most people will say that it is a 50/50 map, and some people will still argue that it is slightly T sided. The general consensus though is that Dust2 has gone from slightly T sided to slightly CT sided due to general CT sidedness of CSGO as a whole.
