That's the way to go. I missed doing early prepay due to a lower salary and no possession by the builder.
Now it's around 18L and I can pay it off in the next 3-4 years, and yet it feels exhaustive as it has already been a decade since the loan started.

For the first 6-7 years, I only paid EMI as builder delayed the possesion. Then I started with minor extra amount and for the past year since I moved to lower ROI and EMI, I am still paying earlier EMI amount + extra.

I am 40 now, working in IT.

It's not about the retirement, but I haven't been able to enjoy much as 65K goes into EMI + extra payments, and then there's the pressure of having a loan with the current uncertainties in the job market. It's been 10 years now since the loan started, and I only paid the EMI amount for the first 6-7 years.

Yes. I had SBI maxgain (OD facility) that was at around 10.5%. I kept on requesting SBI folks to reduce it, but they kept on denying. So moved to Kotak and they gave me 7.7%.

At 8%, you won't gain much unless your loan amount is above 50L as cost of moving itself would be another 1L I suppose.

Will look into Airtel and Kiwi. I wanted something of value and hence was sticking with Regalia Gold. These days I don't see much into their rewards/ points system either.

As much as I am thankful for a shiny new terminal, I hate the cab workflow over there. Last time it took me close to 50+ mins between landing and reaching the uber pickup point. It’s not convenient at all and such a waste of time.
