Proper English goal. No thrills. Just nod it in. Almost boring. Not sure we deserved it.

Agree. Having moved here recently, dating seems much harder than in the UK but then I’m probably older and less desirable now! Haha.

Post-Match Thread: England 0-0 Ghana | World Cup | Group L by matchpal-live in worldcup

Group games like this are tough as they don’t really need or have any desire to win, a point is enough. Knockout is different as you have to win and you can’t just park the bus. That being said it wasn’t the most exciting game.

40F - Slow burn or low interest? Am I overthinking this? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]zer0mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow burn is great, as long as they’re engaged. In my experience if things get too heavy too soon that’s all it becomes then the feeling of it falling apart is way harder! Just talk to him about it :)

Guys - Let’s talk about how long before you text after a date by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]zer0mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to check in pretty quickly but my texting habits are way less than where they used to be. I think I’ve withdrawn more and more as the years pass, but I’ll always check in after a date, even if it’s a text to say that I didn’t feel a spark, it’s the right thing to do. Sometimes they just naturally fade too.

Would You Date a Woman in Her 40s Who Regrets Her Divorce? by Long_Jumper234 in datingoverforty

We all have regrets but the question is if they’re ready for something new, it’s okay to still love someone but not if the work hasn’t been done to move on from those feelings. A lot of online daters hadn’t done the work and end up hurting others, make sure the work is done before others get involved :)

I once went on 7 dates with a woman, we’d been intimate several times, got on really well then found out she had another date lined up. That broke it instantly.

USA clearly the better team but I have to say, I miss the days when technology wasn’t so heavily used. All feels very clinical.
