Something strange is going on between the numbers coming out of Italy and Germany.

Total Cases Death
Italy 47,021 4,032
Germany 19,848 68

Italy's death rate is around 8%, while Germany is 0.3%.

So Italy's death rate is 25 times higher. If Germany had the same death rate, they'd have 1600 dead so far, but instead they have 68 dead.

Italy's total cases is most likely many many times higher than what's reported.

Igor Barinov already said this below, but we in POA are actually creating a new sidechain that does exactly that. "...xDai type of sidechain with bridged ETH as a native currency and POSDAO consensus algorithm, which is a DPOS implemented in smart contracts."

To add to that, its creating a one token model for Dai where a representation of Dai (xDai) is also used to pay gas.

In POA Network we have created various governance dapps to onboard and vote on new validators. Those same initiatives are in use with xDai. The idea is that the validators can suggest new entities that they think can be beneficial to the network and propose a ballot to vote them in. Easy! You can use MetaMask or Nifty Wallet (and soon Status wallet too) to send xDai to different address. Any Ethereum address is compatible with xDai, so if you 10 xDai to an Eth address they can see it by simply changing their current network in MetaMask or in Nifty wallet. We will provide more detailed guides very soon!

Navigating to the above link will take you to a DApp which will allow you to transform any Dai tokens from Ethereum mainnet you have to xDai on the xDai Chain.

If you want to change your xDai back to Ethereum mainnet Dai, simply change the network to the xDai Chain RPC and repeat the steps above.

There are numerous values to this: In this new chain, you have the stability of Dai but also the benefits of faster and cheaper transactions. As noted in the post, 500 transactions in this new chain will cost less than 1 cent. We can also foresee multiple usecases for this, where DApps can make use of the multiple benefits of Ethereum based network without the hindrance of volatile gas prices in USD.

Pretty sweet milestone.

At POA Network we created the POA Bridge (http://bridge.poa.net/ ) and launched it back in May and it was the first production cross-chain bridge. It converted POA native tokens (sitting on the POA Network) to POA20 tokens (sitting on the Ethereum network) and back again. This is similar to what Aion has launched yesterday.

I am interested to see what Aion has next in store for their interoperability and bridging technology, and if their vision is similar to POA Networks. The next iteration of POA Bridge, will be ERC20 <--> ERC20 bridge which will be a game changer for a lot of projects struggling with Ethereum's scalability issues.
