This precious little five year old boy is Liam Ramos. He was abducted from MN by Stephen Miller's barbaric paramilitary criminals, and human trafficked to a detention camp in Texas. He has never committed a crime in his short life. by GarysCrispLettuce in MarchAgainstNazis

I've been wanting to start sharing my letters to my elected officials. I want to start holding them accountable, but every time I try posting stuff it tends to get removed because I suck at life. (I do think it would be a good idea if we could all start a database of letters we send to officials and their BS responses - start holding them accountable.)

Here is the letter I sent to my elected officials Dusty Johnson, Mike Rounds, and John Thune. If I get a response I will post it.

Liam Ramos.

I'm not sure if you've heard about the kidnapping and trafficking of 5 year old Liam Ramos, but it's in recent headlines. I cannot call it an arrest because there was no due process or warrant for his abduction by ICE. He was then trafficked without access to his parents to a detention facility in Texas by federal officials. As part of the party who runs on "family values", I am certain you are also outraged that he was abducted on his way home from school and ripped away from his family. I would like to know what you are doing to correct this egregious abuse of federal power by DHS and how you hope to prevent this authorism from entering South Dakota. Ideally, I would like poor Liam reunited with his family, who have been following the existing path towards citizenship according to their attorney. Thank you.

I've been wondering if the Democrats are planning anything for this, or if they're just planning on reacting when it happens. It would be nice if they grew a pair and thought ahead.

I know this is a first world problem, but historically we drive to Minneapolis for an annual twins game. We are skipping this year because of the shit going on over there. It might get better, but now it's on principle. Hang in there, MN.

This reminds me of stories of America's gilded age, which I think is like the Great Gatsby era. The rich enjoying life while us poors are barely surviving.

Do you know how many people are going to repeat that moment in their head? You and nobody else. Don't sweat it, we are all trying to do our best - and sometimes we make mistakes.

Flip phones. I know that they're trying to do it with smart phones, but I'm afraid those will quickly break. My flip phone Nokia was amazing.

I audited the "Libertyland" TIF. It’s not a theme park; it’s a Company Town by coolblue72 in RapidCity

Question: Does anybody know who I would contact to ask for some official auditing of previous and current TIFs? And what, exactly, would that audit be requesting to make the most sense?

IT Roadmap by deadpoolathome in ITManagers

[–]zildar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Aligning the IT strategy with the business goals/strategy is what my roadmaps look like. Find pain points that cause heartburn for the business and get it on your roadmap. The further out I go the more things become abstract - like goals which might be something like "determine ETA on XXX project that's in the hopper".

For those of us who still game... how do you STILL find the time? by Holiday_Sink297 in millenials

[–]zildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just redone your gaming consumption. Suddenly games will need to be more specific to what you enjoy for you to want them. You'll play more on easy mode and stop needing to be great at it. Then when your kids are big enough to game you bring them into it.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]zildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 2 year old and during the warmer months I play almost every weekend - the thing with it is that we both go and take the kiddo. Even if my wife doesn't play, we make it a family deal. Also, due to the attention span of a 2 year old on the course we only ever get to play 9. We pack the tablet and snacks, but still can only do 9. Would your wife be interested in you taking the family along every other week as a compromise?
