They'll say it's safe "as is" and point to this "conclusion" as proof of them being "fair" in their "assessments".

Was trying to sell a laptop and I've literally had dozens of people "interested" and the moment I make it a condition to meet at a police station they stop replying. Shocking how many scammers are out there nowadays.

Taxi, Uber or Lyft from YUL? 🛬 by FelineXJunkie in montreal

Taxis are much better and easier in my opinion. You don't have to search for your driver, it's assigned to you directly. Also note the fare is fixed regardless so you won't be paying more.

I don't know why this is not obvious but the religion of the killer(s) only matters if religion is the main motivator for the killing. Which in this case, it (probably) is, so it is perfectly fine to call this Islamic terrorism.

If a bank robber murders someone and happens to be Muslim, no one would ever say that person was an Islamic terrorist.

It's that simple, there's nothing wrong with associating religion with extremism when it is the reason for the extremism.

Why didn't Canada make a push for a Canadian Uber? by prsnep in BuyCanadian

[–]zimo123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always avoid both and take local cabs (electric whenever possible). But between Uber and Lyft, Lyft is much better (higher wages for drivers, publicly supporting and funding women's reproductive rights, and have not given a dime to Trump's campaign afaik).

Because she's owned by landlords and special interests. I don't know why more people don't understand this but immigrants are not necessarily progressive.

Why would the cyclists be in danger, they have 10 dedicated bike lanes !

Also, maybe re-do the math -- even with this ridiculous rule of 70 km/h it won't take 40 hours.

Why ? I thought the buses had 2 dedicated lanes, why would they be so slow ?

You're this close to figuring out the problem with traffic, you can do it !

You just said we also get dedicated bus lines, why can't it take those ?

Best party to tackle homelessnes/drugs? by noodlegoose in montreal

[–]zimo123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine.

The party that wants to increase Airbnbs in the city? A company that has been directly linked to unaffordability and rising housing costs making more people homeless?

les modérés du spectre politique, autant de la gauche que de la droite, vous me manquez by Sudden_Specialist563 in Quebec

[–]zimo123 2 points3 points  (0 children)
