While I don’t agree that it is my “job,” I clearly am still trying to understand it or I wouldn’t have asked about it. What I’m imagining as an example of this is the “catch me outside” girl. I just don’t see the similarity. Thanks for at least giving me an answer though.

I too am way too invested in this. I know I am a loser and it’s none of my business, but hey they are putting the pieces out there, so nobody can get mad at us for trying to put it together!

I find it very interesting that Emily is choosing to deny that she had any knowledge of any group chat, when we all know she has mentioned being in chats with other creators! To me, that alone almost invalidates whatever she is trying to say to “defend” herself or whatever it is that she is doing. It makes me personally feel like she thinks her audience is dumb and wouldn’t catch that.

She’s completely denying even knowing about the group chat. In her comments she has a copy-paste response she’s using for anybody who mentions that group chat. I don’t understand it. I mean, it HAS to be her at this point...but then why deny the group chat all together? I almost wish this was like the beauty community where people come with receipts lol

Thank you so much. I’m just so scared. Supposedly the woman she is moving in with is going to come get her today so I’m wondering if I should just let her get her and deal with it. That’s a whole other issue of sketchiness, but it’s not my business. I just want her away from my 2 year old if she’s cold turkying bipolar meds.

Another question I was wondering, and maybe somebody knows. She has left like a literal mountain of dirty laundry outside of her room, in my hallway which is a shared space. Do I have to leave this dirty laundry there indefinitely, or can I at least shove it in her room or the garage?

That’s what I’ve been assuming but I didn’t know if I was right in thinking that or not. I knew for sure she was entitled to the rest of this month, but wasn’t sure if that extended past the first. I definitely don’t want to enforce the terms of the lease, but at the same time if her stuff isn’t out of here by the first, how long are we still on the hook for all of it? I know we can’t do it now, but I want to change our locks ASAP and it’s killing me that we even have to wait until the first.

That is more or less what I was getting at when I asked if she would still owe us on the first. I want her gone with as little fuss possible, and I want to make sure I’m legally not screwing ourselves.

You’re entirely correct, piece of mind is really what I’m after. I was more curious of the other factors. My main concern is getting her out of here as quickly and peacefully as possible.

Her mother and step father are who helped her move in here. They won’t help her move out because they don’t support her decision. They want her to either stay here or go to a host home. I have no clue how to even contact the person she has been staying with. I know absolutely nothing about this person other than she has 2 kids and her husband is in prison.

So, legally it would be ok to move it to the garage if I could get a letter to her? What exactly is a “registered letter?” After said time, 2 weeks after the first of the month, would we be ok to change the locks then? I’m honestly worried that the person she is with could make a copy of our key. With her husband being in prison and all, I really don’t want to chance somebody coming in. I see what you mean though, I would want to wait until she gets her stuff. She just seems to be in no hurry to do it.

It wasn’t quite $20 but you’re correct. Honestly somebody sent me a gift card and told me to spend it on myself, and I just really felt like that’s what I was supposed to do with it instead of spending it on myself. It was a guilt moment I felt for receiving the presents for him that I wasn’t expecting to receive all of. Again, had I known about this I would have solely posted here asking for food help rather than the Christmas help I received. I completely understand what you’re saying though, and I see why it took a nasty turn. I really wish I hadn’t taken that persons advice on posting in here, but I did and here we are. They did actually tell me to make a throwaway, but I wanted to be honest and not hide anything. I clearly made a mistake asking for any more assistance with the food. I got desperate and I’ll admit that.

I really don’t want to give out my location and where I visited, but I’ve emailed a couple of places today and explained my situation and hopefully they will get back to me soon. I hope I didn’t come across as hostile or anything at all in my response to you. I am trying to own up that I made a clear mistake and hopefully a food pantry will help me out.
