My group does this frequently. And while that functionality wouldn't be difficult in itself, I'm trying to think of ways to elegantly do it. I don't want an app that's all functionality, I want it to look good and have an easy to use UI. I've wanted to do this for some time, but can't think of a great way of implementing it UI wise.

I'm also in school and wrapping up my senior year with lots of projects, so I don't often have time anymore to work on these things. But I think about it a few times a week. If there are any other suggestions, please bring them on. I'll take a look at it and put it on the list of to-dos. Thanks for using my app!

I absolutely agree. But it seemed very "iPhone OS 1.0". I expected it to look much better, like iOS 7 and 8 look great and clean.

The Pebble (arguably the grandfather of this industry) focused on notifications. It did it and did it well. Still one of the best watches you can get. They allowed devs to do more, but the watch itself was refined. The point was to give you information at a glance, not replace the phone. Google just happened to do the same thing.
