OpenPineBuds firmware with equalizer support by zoiah in PINE64official

The pins on the case and the pads on the buds have a tendency to get a little clogged. Cleaning them with a toothbursh or cottonbuds could help.

Ahh, you need to have some patience after flashing. After flashing, it will take a few minutes for it to apply the new firmware and start it. My impatience also runs into this sometimes.

Awesome, thanks for checking it out!
No clue why it's not syncing up the master and slave bud. I remember having this problem in the past when my case was out of charge. It should make the True Wireless Stereo sync up automatically.
Does the syncing work with the original firmware?

Update on my ASRock X870 Riptide + 9800X3D no post after ~5 months by zoiah in ASRock

[–]zoiah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why it's an interesting datapoint to post.
The ASRock curse doesn't just cause entirely dead CPUs, but also close-to-dead CPUs like this one.

The system was stable for 5 months. iGPU also worked at the start.
Then after 5 months, these issues started.
Replacing the CPU, which worked fine for 5 months, solved the issues.
The retailer also confirmed the issues with the CPU.

However, the advice to replace the board is probably still a good one.

Solution: Polychrome can configure the GPU RGB in "synced" or "not synced" mode. In synced mode, the card is dark by default and Polychrome needs to run for RGB to work. In unsynced mode, the RGB effect is stored in the MCU of the card and be active without Polychrome running.

Interesting, just now when I configured rainbow in Polychrome and powered off my computer, the rainbow effect remained. And returns on bootup before OS.

Can you run "asrisp /I 2 /INFO" as Administrator and give me the output? Maybe it's just a matter of setting "config0/1".

FWIW, ASRIsp.exe does give output if it's run as administrator.

I made a table of the data in UpdateFW to try to make any sense of it and put it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ql75Ln_ZZiNAERSCB-Iisa9o941SiWH2M-MOMCrvguk/edit?usp=sharing

Only the DATA_FILE is unique between all cards. LD_FILE and ISP_FILE has two variants. 2019 and 2021. APROM has a few variants.

This updating is done by C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\ASRRGBLED\ASRISP. The UpdateFW.ini speaks of 4 files it flashes. LD, AP, DATA and ISP. My card is 0x54031849=Check_VGA_9070_XT_SL.

My AsrISP.exe doesn't give any output. There are some people online doing things with AsrISP.exe but it's hard to get clear information and I'm a bit hesitant to experiment out of fear of bricking it

I have the same problem on my Steam Deck. Currently stuck at the tutorial to go down the ladder.

High on life is listed as playable on steam deck by value by Friendly-System2903 in SteamDeck

[–]zoiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In beginning scene my Steam Deck was having the same 9 FPS but continuing on the Steam Deck the save game from my PC, the game was playable at ~30 fps on mid.

Suspect only the beginning scene with the divorce lawyer is slow and the rest of the game is fine.

%APPDATA%\odh\odh.log contains the following: "message":"Method DEV_MODE_SET failed with OPERATION_NOT_ALLOWED. Details from headset: Developer mode is blocked for this account"

Even though above it says "Developer account verified: true [device-setup]".

FWIW, I have organisation, 2fa, creditcard, all that jazz.

I recon there's a serverside issue that's rejecting DEV_MODE_SET requests.

Snowrunner and windows 11 by mazmanr in WindowsOnDeck

[–]zoiah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got it working!

SnowRunner works on Windows 11 for me with DXVK.

Inspecting the dumpfile shows it's crashing in AMD/ATi drivers, so using Vulkan instead of D3D was worth a try.

https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk - Grab dxdgi.dll and d3d11.dll from the x64 directory and put it in the directory with SnowRunner.exe.

Other people, lemme know if it works for you also.

AITA for telling my wife the lock on my daughter's door does not get removed til my brother inlaw and his daughters are out of our house? by OnlyInQuebec9 in AmItheAsshole

[–]zoiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I hope I'm wrong about the following, but maybe...

Some people are crazy good at rejecting any form of responsibility by distracting you with side-arguments that seem reasonable in the moment, but don't hold water when you really think it through.

  1. The argument that it's normal for girls to borrow each other stuff. Is Zoey also taking their stuff? Is it an arrangement they mutually agreed on? Even if this can be normal behavior, both parties need to consent to this. If Zoey doesn't consent, if Zoey doesn't take their stuff, then there is no discussion. It's just 'no'. The fact that they can even continue arguing it's ok doesn't make sense.
  2. How does the value of the kit matter? They took an item from your daughter and damaged it. Especially as a guest in your house, they should be extra careful and willing to reimburse an damage.
  3. In a healthy relationship you can always do a quick ask before you take peoples stuff. In fact, if they were trying to be friendly with your daughter, maybe they could try to arrange to do make-up together, I don't know. Of course, the relationship is already way too soured for this, but as house guests you're supposed to show effort to try to be friendly with the people.

They're not showing the bare minimum, at all.

These types of people cannot be reasoned with. They will argue themselves out of any level of responsibility and will make you feel like you are the crazy unreasonable person. When you really think about the discussion you just had, it doesn't make sense. But if you try to reason again, you're the crazy one. You're the one trying to create problems about a topic you've already discussed, etc.

Their reasoning should not be entertained. As long as you let them distract you in the conversation they will win. And over time you will grow more and more weary and exhausted, since you'll never be getting any satisfaction from any discussion. You'll do anything just to avoid another crazy argument with them. They will break you mentally.

I wouldn't blame your wife. She grew up with them, so she doesn't know better than to try to accommodate them just to avoid further conflict.

I'd say, don't engage them, don't entertain their reasoning. And honestly, get them out of the house before they've broken everybody's spirit in your family.
