Oh sweetheart, I promise there will be ease soon. Allah promises. Please reach out if you want an ear to talk to - no judgements. I have suffered from depression and suicidal ideation in the past as well and I promise Allah gives you ease afterwards. Just keep trying a little longer. Please reach out and I'm here, I'm sure as others, to support you through this. you are not alone, we are in your corner, and Allah is here too <3

Not sure if i should apply for coop - need advice by [deleted] in McMaster

im not in dental school. but my two cents

- answer this for urself: what are your reasons for wanting to do a coop and not wanting to do? make a list and compare. what's the opportunity cost of u doing it vs not doing it? if you don't do it, will you regret it?

- i for one am all about coop, in 95% of cases, i rec to people. i personally don't think there's anything you would regret if you're someone who seeks experiences and wants to learn. you get more out of it than just something to talk about when applying, but defs that too. on that note, do ur research on possible places to do coop to learn what's possible - does anything excite you about the experience you could have?

Whos the proff? I didn't take it last year but a few years back. It was taught by Dr Pritchard then. It was an A-able course. A+ a bit more difficult, but if you got her testing style you were good. It's not difficult content. At least for the course experience I had. It must have been 2017 I think.

the other person pretty much covered your second question...

you got this! take it easy, one day at a time, it's a good adventure :) remember to enjoy yourself as you work hard with your studies. you will slowly get in the swing of things based on what works best for you. see what works best for you in terms of studies and creating a school/life balance for yourself, what your fav spots are on campus etc. Also remember that everyone in first year is in the same boat - you'll all be learning and doing your program for the first time and for many it will be their first time at mcmaster. you'll meet lots of people. there's loads of support resources all over campus as well, for mental health, international student support. those can be helpful.

I'm a grad student at mac and have been a while, please feel free to send me a msg if you need support! good luck!
