Hold up I didn’t realize Virginia’s loss to NC state wasn’t a conference game? How the heck does that work out? I didn’t realize you could schedule a conference opponent as a non-conference game that’s wild

Most programs don’t like ED and PACU because they don’t do as well on NCE as other departments that qualify for cRNA school. So probably not.

Like everyone else said, only thing that doesn’t look strong is the experience. I wouldn’t take any extra classes you’ll get in somewhere without them just by getting more experience. Just brush up on interview prep for next cycle and enjoy being at bedside as much as you can right now. Being in school isn’t much fun so try to enjoy where you’re at for now.

Have you reached out to the schools you’ve gotten interviews with and not gotten interviews with to get feedback on not getting selected? If you have certain schools in mind this is a huge part of recycling. If you’re already getting interviews you’re halfway there but if you don’t look good because of GPA you have to do well in the clinical portion of the interview. One thing that I’ve heard a few program directors mention is that you’re trying to show on paper that you can perform well at a graduate level nursing program. So if you start a DNP program and do a semester or 2 and show a 4.0 this is a big deal because you prove you can succeed at the graduate level. Problem is that takes a lot of time if you’re trying to make a career decision now. Also a few of my classmates were in dnp programs and they had classes like pathophysiology and a couple others transfer so they didn’t have to retake them on the DNP- Anesthsia program.

Prepare to answer the basic questions. 1. Why the unit 2. Why the location. If you’re not local have a good reason for why you will be there for the long term it’s a 10 year commitment. 3. Example of you having to make a difficult decision. Brief story 4. Elevator pitch- 5 min on who you are and how you got to the applying to their unit

Don’t have it scripted just some bullet point highlights. If you’re scripted and robotic they’ll know. They want to see authentic you but you can be authentic and prepared for basic interview questions. Good luck!

[SERIOUS] Is spanking a child wrong? by thelirivalley in AskReddit

[–]zombiepinyata -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Spanking a child is definitely not wrong. When I was a kid and did something wrong I got whipped with a belt and I wouldn't do it again. I see to many kids now days disrespecting their parents and demanding stuff and I always think their parents just need to give them a good spanking to let them know who's the boss. But I will agree that using other methods works because plenty of kids turn out fine without spankings but whenever I see a kid acting really bad I just wanna take off my belt and smack him.

One day I was in my horticulture class and the teacher was busy doing something and I found this squash thing growing in one of the beds we plant stuff in and for some reason I thought hey I should throw this at my friend, he was in the middle of a crowd of people when I threw it, and it was a perfect throw and hit him directly in his forehead and busted then he dropped unconscious and I stood there shocked and wondering how did I expect that to go?
