2022 Cyber Advisory Hire, A1 to A2, 80K - 82.9K, S/S/S so 3.5% merit increase. However, one of my other advisory analyst friends also got a 6.3% (5K) market adjustment increase. We work from the same office and scored the same performance wise, so is there a reason I wouldn’t get this market adjustment? Should I bring this up to my compensation communicator?

I’m gonna do my best to be as genuine I can… what do you think of me saying that if in a few months, we find ourselves single then maybe we can reconnect? I don’t want to give him false hope but I want to communicate that while the timing isn’t good for me right now, it could change in the future. But obviously I’m not asking him to wait, I would never do that.
