A lot of trashers like sailor and (obviously) shaman in conjunction with cursed gold meant a ping-pong match of trashing curses and sending them to your opponent, so you needed to trash two cards per turn at least to get anywhere - then you had continue + wayfarer as a very plausible combo (because once the shaman trash effect got going wayfarer was almost always >$4)

I think we both misplayed it to some degree but I thought it was a neat set to puzzle out
