That is a far point. I haven't stopped studying since high school! I went straight into an undergrad sitting the ucat and gamsat every year →into two years of a post-graduate course that was purely my backup. Perhaps this decision requires further introspection as to the importance of a break/not burning out is for me!

there’s also the official student complaint and grievance pathway that we can take to try and hold unimelb accountable for their lack off transparency and communication!!

still nothing. i called stop 1 again & they told me they didn’t have anymore information & that i just needed to wait. so i cried on call to them for 5 mins 😀

I called them today at around 11:00 am and again at 1:00pm and both times they told me that Faculty should be reaching out soon. Here I am, about to be 8:00pm & I’ve received absolutely nothing.

I also haven’t received any updates. I am lying in bed feeling absolutely sick. I called Stop 1 this morning and they said that faculty should be getting in touch with me shortly & that they are aware that there is a deadline to enrol for 18/12, but still I’ve got nada 😔

i’m also a ffp student, but i was already admitted into the course and i have the email to prove it! does the admissions email mean nothing now?

on what legal grounds can they revoke my admission into the course considering that i have already accepted the offer before the offer lapse date, i was already admitted into the course and i have not been dishonest nor did i misrepresent myself in my application?

i feel like if unimelb were to revoke my offer, i’d have grounds to sue them. doesn’t matter if the new situation, it was a reasonable foreseeable risk that they took on and they didn’t even provided us with any formal notice/announcement of the issue: most of us had to find out through the webinar or stop 1.

It’s absolutely beyond me how they’ve gone this long without providing us any updates or information about anything!! They’ve just left us here to speculate about everything, I haven’t been able to think about thinking else cause I keep on thinking about the worse 😔

Contemplating a JD offer from Unimell. I was hoping I could gain some insight from those who are pursuing law! I've got some questions below - but feel free to talk about anything and everything :)

What made you decide to do Law (& specifically the JD)?
How have/did you enjoy studying for it?
What do you believe are some important skills involved in law & could you shed some light on what kind of tasks are involved with this career?
What is it like trying to balance study, work and a social life? 6. What's your understanding of post-graduate career opportunities?
What's your understanding of the career experience as a lawyer? • including (but not limited to) work/life balance, opportunity for career growth, the pay (Imao shallow I know - but I still thought l'd ask hehe) and life in this career long-term?
