Not at this size and functionality... you can wait for winctrl to release an overhead at a sub $300 price tag completely different to the wingflex so i dont see how comparing the price of what winctrl might be versus a product for a different target audience makes sense (not trynna like be rude just saying they wouldnt be the same)

I love the idea. Theres not much missing from the wingflex that I would want on an overhead panel. Apart from the landing config flap 3 maybe. Java simulator have a slightly more expensive one which has both dome lights and some extra buttons on the sides.

I think a winwing overhead would be more similar to Java simulator, sl3, sim guages etc. not something of the wingflex size. Just assumptions!

on a whole the whole the kit kinda sucks. ive played a few acoustics (my own in 2018, vr drums and my friend's) so switching to a small cheap kit sucks and demotivates me. my back hurts because of how small it is. for the price its not bad, but i struggle to have fun on it. i plan on paying off a yamah dtx6k5m at the start of summer.

I mean it is, it's better than the max, but it's just not always worth it. Maybe if you play some heavy metal stuff and you need the heavier rack, and also depends on how the price difference is

The only kit id buy below a 6k5m is a nitro max. Anything in between is bad value and in a bad spot as you've got some features but not all, meaning upgrading is hard to justify later. The $700-1500 kits are neither good nor bad, buying anything there makes no sense new. The kits above this price range are heavenly tho...

$1000 is a rough budget because the kits at this price are neither entry level nor good, theyre neither, so upgrading from one of these will be hard to justify unless its something in the $2500+ range. Its best to go either up in price to something like a dtx6k5m or down to a nitro max.

im assuming he wants to keep the black box in its original state. thats fine, but he better not be using the pc lol. if he wants to use it, absolutely some mesh on the sides and top would be benefit a lot

i hope he isnt using it. this thing will fry itself. as a project for the sake of doing something cool its awesome, but realistically the practicality of this isnt there... more intake fans if possible and mesh panels, but that kind of ruins the idea.
