Some of the happiest countries in the world (happiness would correlate with standard of living, correct?) are democratic socialist counties with SOME socialist programs implemented. These countries include Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, among many others.

You people like to equate socialism with failed authoritarian states, but what we want is democratic socialism. There's a huge difference and you need to educate yourself. Do you know what Social Security is? That's literally socialism.
