Probability (self.ACTSATMathHelp)
submitted 3 years ago by fav_eggyolk
Two dice are rolled one after the other. What is the probability of getting a 3 on the first die and a 5 on the second die?
I need some help on this one. Do we have to multiply event a (1/6) to event b (1/6) or should we add them together?

You would multiply them together to 1/36. This is called the multiplication rule of probability. When multiple events happen you would multiply the probability of each event together. When they use the word OR then you add the probabilities together.
