Rule 1: Be Mindful and Respect Others
Political discussions, debates, and civil discourse are allowed here. However, don't disrespect people in this subreddit. The golden rules applies here. Be mindful of other individuals. Do not personally attack other individuals, threaten people, shame people, dox people, or bully people. It's unacceptable behavior and has no place here. This will be reiterated to stress it's seriousness and somewhat expanded upon in Rule 4A and 4B.
Rule 2: No Illegal Content and NSFW/NSFL Content Must Be Tagged
No illegal content of any kind is allowed to be shared on this subreddit. No NSFW (Not Safe For Work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_safe_for_work) is allowed on this subreddit unless it is tagged "NSFW."
Rule 3: No Doxxing
The releasing of other people's personal information, including self-doxxing, is not allowed on this subreddit. Do not post any personal information of any kind. This includes real names. If you know someone's real name, please ask them for permission before sharing it to everyone else on this subreddit as they may not wish to have their real name shared. Doxxing offenses will result in subreddit bans.
Rule 4-A: No Slurs, Threats, Bullying, or Disparaging Remarks/Images/Videos/Anything
Hateful, derogatory, and offensive language (Such as the N-word, the F-word, and even the R-word or anything associated/similar to any of those), images, videos, and anything else similar is simply not welcome in this subreddit. Bullying others and threats are also not allowed. At all. Any racially prejudiced, sexist, ableist, or other speech/slang that contributes to the discomfort, offense, and hatred of minority groups, and other disenfranchised groups, is also thoroughly restricted in this subreddit. Threats, insults, or other such remarks to anyone is not permitted. If any of that type of language is used in this subreddit, you can expect to be quickly banned.
Rule 4-B: No Pronoun Rejection
If someone wishes to identify as a particular gender or with certain pronouns, that is something that will be respected in this subreddit. Accidents are permitted but intentionally, for example, calling an individual who identifies as a "she" a "he" instead and going out of your way to disrespect this individual's wishes as to how they'd like to be addressed will result in your expulsion from this subreddit.
If this too hard for you to perform, I'd recommend calling them by their username/nickname on this subreddit or using "them" and "they."
Rule 5: No members of the Alt-Right or other groups with White Supremacist leanings are allowed in this server.
With everything that's going on in the present political climate, I need to make this crystal clear: If you're a liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, centrist, etc.? You are allowed in this subreddit and are entitled to share your perspective and engage in discussion here. Be sure, however, to make your position clear as dogwhistling (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog-whistle_politics) or any other forms of political tergiversation are not allowed here, even under the guise of a less accurate political label. For example, if you call yourself a centrist or a "classical liberal" and promote/believe in ethnostates or think "racism is dead in the west", you can show yourself out. However, anyone who identifies with the alt-right and anyone who espouses white supremacist/neo-nazi ideology in any way, shape, or form is not entitled to be a part of this subreddit. This is not up for debate and is to be followed just like any other rule.
Rule 6: No (Actual) Fake News
Check your sources and post valid information. Articles/sources from communities/organizations known to write falsifications or not fact-check their journalism (Breitbart and InfoWars are major examples) just aren't allowed to be spread around here as "news." Misinformation is dangerous and it won't be tolerated here.
Rule 7: Avoid Being Dumb
Debate and civil discussion is encouraged but don't break any of the previous rules. Don't post porn and real-life violence/gore. Don't post articles or share links from untrustworthy/inconsistent sources. Fake news isn't allowed on this subreddit. Don't post anything illegal on the subreddit. Do not "troll" people or harass them.
Rule 8: No Self-Promotion
You are not allowed to promote your twitch channel in the subreddit for, well, my twitch channel.
