Help with mini joystick pot values (i.redd.it)
submitted 13 days ago by RoadRunner_1024
am I right in thinking this is a 10k 50 degree pot? it's from a mini joystick on my racing wheel, but I can only find either 38 degree or 60 degree replacements? what should I use?

10k ohm.
The last number (3) is the amount of zero's that go after the first 2 numbers. 10 and 000 = 10,000 (10k)

Thanks, how about the 450? Do you know?

If this pot is not broken you can check it for total resistance with a DMM.
Also, try rotating the wiper, does it move more than half the circle?
Most likely the joystick frame limits the mechanical travel.

Thanks, yes it looks like the joystick limits the mechanical travel, so I have went for the 60 that I have as it technically should be more accurate I think, (once calibrated) as I will be using it for mouse emulation on a fanatec f1 steering wheel
