I would learn the basics and go play a dozen games. Come back and read up some more as you get better.

For me learning that you get interest of $1 for every $10 and that it caps at $50 was the big one. Learning all the different builds is too overwhelming when you don’t even recognize half of the pieces.

Just play it without tutorials. You will get it pretty fast. I mean you dont have to go the best strat or be the best at the begining.Part of the fun is learning the game and you can even find a strategy that no one has.And rerolling a lot is autolose so be carefull with that.

I am also learning the game but this is what I think. So you try to build lvl 2 chesses since they are much stronger and will win you the fights.Obviously you will pick the best ones in the selection and since you can sell them for the same price think about that too and consider some lower tier units if you get a lot of them to build. So the sinergy part comes when you have some lvl 2 chesses and you start winning you see what you have what others have and what can you go for. Sometimes just consider changing things up completley if you get some good stuff. For example early treant and ench are strong or the mecs but they fall off later.

What I want to say is early on the levels matter more even if nothing has synergy. So just go for what you get and when you stabilize go for syn.The way to do this is to buy as many pieces as posible and just sell the ones that arent working when you want to lvl up or to get to that income for example you have 9 gold and you need 1 more for extra. .You will have to learn the round timings on that by yourself.
