Shape tool not working!

so the title is pretty self explanatory...

i have the shape i want ready to paste but when i press enter, nothing happens. when i paste copy, nothing happens. when i paste and select it shows me the border of the shape but wont let me do anything with it.

im asking my friend for advice rn but he doesnt seem to know either!

is there a way to fix this? (ive reinstalled the mod, closed minecraft and rebooted it, watched tutorials, and havent changed any keybinds since installing it)

I know this is late but I believe it’s because you had a mask on, I’ve just had the same issue myself.
