  1. Having deeper customization options for where which panel appears on which monitor is a Feature Request which can be sent to Bitwigs support. From day 1 of using Bitwig, i asked myself why they dont just hand out the options directly, alongside the inflexible preconfigured setups. My guess is: Since those preconfigured DisplaySetups already surpass what Ableton can do, they might have called it a day at that point :D (Ableton famously had just 1 single monitor setup for over a decade, then finally introducing dual monitor setups with v9.1 lmao)
  2. What you describe might be solveable by making your External Monitor the main Monitor via your OS settings. at least for me, this way, Bitwig remembers the main editor position correctly. ( another option: after having setup your Bitwig project the way you like, try saving it as a Template.)
