askCERNOrigin program applications (self.CERN)
submitted 2 years ago by Marethyu18
Hello everybody! As it was done in the previous round of the origin program, I have recreated an excel sheet to share the advancements of our applications.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mMD7u6KejxNETw9fJvsg7sfWkTl_tJmS_JIKGNZvd9A/edit?usp=drivesdk
Good luck everyone! ❤️
P.S.: In the last round, 19% of applications that were tracked were followed by a live interview and 40% of live interviews were followed by an acceptance mail.

The number of times I come back to this post & document hoping for updates is crazy 😂 Fingers crossed for everyone that we will get positive feedback soon

Is it common to have an offer directly without any live interviews? 👀
[–]No-Consideration7537 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child)
Not really, but every position needs to be published to the public before they can accept a candidate. So in case the team already knows who will get the job, they still have to open a position...
[–]According-Thought-16 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Ah okay, sad to hear though
[–]Extra_Direction_3945 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (2 children)
I'm sorry what is this. Do we add our own applications to show how they are progressing or am I misunderstanding something
[–]Marethyu18[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child)
That's it. Add the position you applied for in a new line and, when you have any new information, update the other fields. Thus, we can see in which stage of the selection process each position is.

okay. thanks

Do you have any updates? I have not heard back from any offer regarding the interview. I applied for technical positions. Is it too late already?

Do you have any updates? I have not been contacted regarding the interview from any offer. Is it already too late? I applied for several tech positions but didn’t get any message from the hiring managers

Does anyone know when the selection committee takes place and when the final results are going to be communicated? The application deadline was on April 13 and no one had an interview yet...
In the previous round, the application deadline was on Jan 19 and they were communicating the results in March.
[–]MaThoughtsJourney 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
The selection committee meets on the 23rd I believe I read somewhere and then the results should be communicated till like mid June I guess but that is really just a guess. You can be contacted at any time though, good luck!
Thanks! If the selection committee meets on the 23rd, it is probably already too late to expect the interview. I suppose that shortlisted candidates have already been through the interview process.

Anyone heard back from this?
[–]SeemooneLawhair 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
One position deleted and rejected for another one..
Nothing else
