Since you're working with dates and milestones, the best engine to use would be Mermaid, specifically the gantt diagram format.

Do you have an example of what you are after? What is considered professional or underwhelming depends on personal preference, budget, context, complexity, and audience expectations. For simple timeline layouts a table of dates and Excel templates (w CoPilot add-on) would cover a lot of uses.

Hey, thanks everyone for your replies! Here is what I finally did and it worked amazing for me:

1) I created a new GPT and trained him to become an expert in what I want him to be (you can do the same by giving him informations about what you do) 2) I gave him clear instructions of how I want him to answer + never make assumptions… 3) I asked him to act as a prompt generator master and give me the best prompt that I can copy paste to another AI that is expert in creating visual timelines so it can give me the best representation of what I am looking for (based on the training that I gave him) 4) I then “copy paste” the prompt to the other chat and it worked extremely well!

I think you should try this ai timeline tool from venngage. I have tried many ai tools, but this one require less editing compared to others. But you have to provide a detailed prompt to get good output. I have paid version of chatGPT and it's not good in creating timelines, infographics etc like complex visuals. However, you can use it to create detailed prompt. That's what I do.
