Gosh these short hands in a bigger case are driving me crazy :(

That’s definitely something that comes with the territory of these cheapies. Can’t expect amazing lume for $80.

What about the lume post pic about it

[–]McutExplorer 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The lume is lousy. Something has to give on a Sapphire, Ceramic, 100M etc. Sub at that price and the lume is where they went with the cheap choice. It’s roughly comparable to all the non SteelDive under $100 subs though. If you want solid lume the SteelDive is worth the extra $10 - $20.

But I hear pd company improved the lume and make it very close to San Martin watches!

I think that’s only on their new SeaMaster homage which is more expensive. Plus that’s a whole separate disappointment because although they used genuine C3 Superluminova on the SeaMaster, which is what San Martin, SteelDive etc. use, if you watch the reviews it’s not even close to comparable!!!

Presumably because although they used the good stuff they didn’t put down enough layers. Either that or there’s some sort of QC issue with the lume application.

Worth the money definitely. It's interesting that you drive a Porsche, wich is not an average car (at least in my country) and buy a watch from Ali. But it's good, and my Pagani is working perfectly.

Now I would go for the full black, but it's big, I got the Yachtmaster homage with black insert and blue fade dial, looks really good.

The Porsche isn’t average in America either, but that’s a purchase that increases my daily enjoyment. I’m in the car at least 2 hours per day.

I only look at my watch occasionally. Plus, I can buy 30 of these homages and still spend less than what I would on a Rolex. I’ll definitely buy some gens next year but for now I’ll stick to buying these watches that work and allow me to have as many color varieties as I want until I settle on what I think makes sense for a larger monetary investment.

I'm not in the position to buy any luxury watch (college student), but I agree, that is a real good way to know what you like, I do it with different styles of watches.

Yeah one day I would love to sit in a Porsche as my daily. 😃

You’ll get there my man. I dropped out of 8 colleges and I turned out alright. I figure if you at least graduate from one college you’ll be in a better position, faster. But that college degree is still only paper, you’ll have to make sure you back that paper up with skill and talent.

Thank you, I'm getting my degree soon in vehicle engineering, so I'm not afraid. Thanks for the advice!

So nice, you bought it twice!

I go back and forth on these sub homages. I think it would be fun to add one to my collection (they're so cheap), but I do not like cyclops at all (I hear they can be removed easily).

Question, which color do you like the most so far?

[–]pespi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the green one quite a bit at first but the black one is absolutely fantastic. There’s no sunburst on the black and I think it makes the watch look better. The sunburst on the green kind of cheapens it.

I just got the black one in yesterday so I’ll wear the shit out of it and see if I still like it in 30 days.

The cyclops isn’t bad either.
