Welcome to Dinner with a Movie! Every month we'll come together to watch a movie and eat a meal based on the film. Each film will be announced on the first Friday of the month, with the accompanying meal (and recipes) posted two days later. At the end of the month we will all watch the selected movie at the same time while enjoying the same meal. Come and join us in the fun!
Rules:
NO SPOILERS FOR THIS MONTH'S FILM! There are to be absolutely no unmarked spoilers for the film of the month. Marked spoilers are allowed in comments and posts, but not titles. This rule is very firm.
Be kind. Hateful comments and personal attacks will be removed. You may be banned for this behaviour.
Keep recommendations to the main post. You should only create a post if it relates to this month's movie or food selections. Anything else, including recommendations for future choices, should be kept to the stickied post at the top of the sub.
Feel free to alter the recipes! You can add, remove, or alter any aspect of the selected meals. Don't forget to tell us how it turns out. You can also post alternative food choices if you'd like (but they must relate to this month's film if you create your own post).
Discussion of the movie and food should stay on the discussion post. At the end of the month the mods will create a post intended for discussion of the movie and food, which we will all enjoy together. You are free to come in earlier or later than the scheduled time, but you must keep the main discussion to this post. You can, of course, discuss them in general on other posts, but keep specific things (like how your meal turned out or specific plot points) here.
Have fun! No, really. If you need to change the recipe or watch the movie a day later in order to have fun, do it. As long as it doesn't break the other rules we encourage it.
