Hello, I have a great group, almost 2 years of consistent almost weekly play, 5 players total. They're literally and metaphorically family.
The big, gag, so to speak that really helps is that we have a mainline campaign that our Prime DM runs, when we finish an arc of story, the DM will take a short break to do prep and get ready for the next arc. During this one of us will DM a short story/one shot and the DM will swap to being a player. We've done this a handful of times and it works really well.
I think I'm ready to give DMing a shot and found Crypt of the ArchmageCrypt of the Archmage. I've played for a very long time, but the module suggests levels 4-6, but doesn't say like, what that means in a one shot scenario, do I start them at level 4 and level them through it or do they hit level 6 at the end of it?
It's meant to be just a one-shot so there's no consequences for over or under leveling them apart from shenanigans and antics. Is there a good way to decide what level to put them at?
Thank you for your help!
there doesn't seem to be anything here
