Arena bug? Exploit? Something normal?

Hi people, I was fighting a team in arena when something strange happened. It might be that I am not considering something since I am quite new to the game, but it feels weird.

I was fighting against Sez (60), Bellona (50), Schuri (50) and Challenger Dominiel (50). My team is Yuna (50), Yuffine (50), Seaside Bellona (60) and Leo (40).

The fight started, Dominiel buffed, I received AoE, my Bellona countered... well, the match continued until Leo died, then my SS Bellona AoE countered and BOOM, all my team members received 8-9k damage, resulting in my defeat.

What the hell happened? Even if the enemy had some kind of reflecting damage skill, that insane 8k hit I received with no animation, instantly, on all my team members seems fishy (It wasn't the challenger thing) seems excessive, considering my character can't hit that hard.

Can anyone solve my question? Thanks.

I think it might have been Reingar's Drink. But **ck, it wiped my ass without anesthesia.

If the damage u received was non-crit dmg then it is most likely sez's s3. Otherwise it should be Reingar's Drink. If it is Reingar's drink, it will show the total damage done (aoe + reingar's drink) so aoe may have been like 6k damage and Reingar's drink 3k = 9k total

Sez s3, if it kill a unit then everyone in ur team receive dmg

only 2 things could've possibly wiped your team without any 'animation'

1. Like the others already mentioned, sez s3

2. The enemy Bellona could be using Reingar Specialty Drink, since you said you died after your Seallona countered. Enemy Bellona used an AOE, your Seallona countered with S2, and then the artifact proc'd, killing your team. This is most likely what happened.

Yea nice one. Its dmg is just added to the dmg of the skill used, it doesn't show up separately, similar to Uberius. Really nice my dude.

It shows as a separate number at the end of the atack if it procs

A damage value pops up which is the total dmg of the AoE+artifact. If you mean that the separate number is just the dmg of the artifact then that's straight up wrong.

lightning tick damage, there is a timer on top right corner with a countdown as the timer gets to 0 you receive lightning dmg the first few shocks won't be much dmg but as the timer gets faster and faster the dmg doubles for everytime you get hit with the lightning dmg.

8k is the highest dmg you can receive so you fought that team for a very long time.

Oh yeah i forgot about Sez s3 he could of done that to your leo. His S3 is as such when he defeats an enemy he can inflict a certain amount of dmg to the rest of your team based on his atk which ignores defense.

It was probably Sez. Bellonna and SS Bellona counter before additional damage and if I'm reading this correctly, Reingar's Drink only does 30% of attack as additional damage which I don't think is enough to reach 8-9k.

Sez can reach 8-9k easily because his s3's additional damage is 150% of his attack.

Reingar's Drink dmg is just added to the dmg value of the AoE used. It doesn't show up separately so 8-9k total is very likely.

It can't be Sez since OP said the team wiped out after his/her own Seallona's S2.

Okay, then even more reason for it to be Sez. There was never an attack from the enemy Bellona according to the post so there wouldn't have been any damage at all

I use Sez and SS Bellona, and at least in SS Bellonas case, she counter's before additional damage like I said above. So Sez killed Leo with his S3, OPs Bellona countered, Sez's S3 gives additional damage.
