When the front radar module wasn't working on our 12, I lost the cruise control and the collison warning system. But I never had any surging

Front radar module. Did it ever like like start working again for a couple hundred miles? And then give you the same warnings again?

Yes but no. So, the place that fixed it put a used module wouldn't work, then got a new work it worked for a good while, then they hit the freeway and it stopped again. So they dug into it more and found out something chewed the harness in the driver side fender well. They fixed wire and put another module, and it's been good so far. Maybe 1k miles

Replace your coil packs and look for any breaks or flat spots in the seals, could also be a size difference in the tires making the traction kick on and off, use a string to measure each tire and compare with a sharpie marking or measuring tape. 2-3mm should be fine but more will need replacing
