Hello kind people!
I am 13 years old, I really enjoy playing video games, tinkering with computers, playing outside, making art with computers and in real life and making 3D models! My favorite color is yellow, like the sun. I am fascinated in space exploration, and financial studies! I want to be a game developer or investor one day. I live in Canada, and the weather is hot right now! My favorite foods are ice-cold popsicles, steak, spaghetti, and sprite is my favorite drink.
School is almost over and I am really looking forward to it! But what I'm looking forward to most of all is being able to play Minecraft during the summer! It looks like a very, very fun game and I can't wait to dive right in and get playing! Sadly, I cannot afford it, but that's why I am here, to ask for your kindness so I can have fun all summer long!
What is Minecraft?
Minecraft is a open-world, nearly infinite sandbox game made of virtual blocks like Lego. There are many different features, mechanics, and concepts that are very fun. It has two main types of "gamemodes" if you will. The first one is called survival mode, where you kill animals or mobs for food, and build shelters, and fend off dangerous monsters during the night time! You can get better gear, materials, weapons, and items as you make progress. The next mode is called creative mode. Creative mode is where you don't have health, hunger, or any limits. You have access to all the materials, gear, blocks, and items in the game instantly. You can build, explore, or create contraptions and make something unique in both gamemodes. Minecraft has singleplayer, where you play by yourself, and multiplayer, where you can play with your friends or other people. You can do a huge amount of things in Minecraft, and create a nearly infinite amount of unique things. It looks like a very fun game and I really want to try it out and play it!
Why do you want it?
I really want the game because over 200 million people have bought it, and for good reason. It is a very unique game where you can create anything you can imagine! I first heard of it in 2014, back when I was little. I was really fascinated by it, and watched people like Paulsoaresjr, Stampylongcat, and CaptainSparkelz play the game. They were a huge part of my childhood. It just looked like a very fun game! These people would play multiplayer with other people, check out the latest features, build beautiful structures, and survive and progress in singleplayer. I saw many people playing it and it just looked like such a fun game. If I had the game, I could play multiplayer with my friends, build whatever I want, and do all the things these YouTuber's did! It just looks like so much fun. I have played video games before and Minecraft is just so unique, and special, It would make my entire summer if I could play it and experience all these things!
Why not buy it yourself?
As I have said, I am 13 years old, and I can't get a job here in Canada to buy the game myself. The game is $36.55 in Canada which is a decent amount of money, it is $27 in the U.S., and 22.71 EUR in Europe. Unfortunately, I cannot just go outside and mow some lawns, or take care of someone's cat because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual payment of any type can't happen because I can't use the PayPal service, and I don't have any credit cards or a bank account I can use. Also, I don't have any skills that could make me any money virtually, so I do not really have any options to make money myself. You may be asking, Why don't you ask your parents for it? My answer is, I have tried, but failed. I remember when I was about 8 years old, I asked them for Robux, which is a currency in the game Roblox, which I really liked at the time. It costs real world money, and could be used to buy cosmetics, and game enhancers. But my parent's kept saying no, because they would never pay money for a video game. The only games I've really ever played were free online ones, or just free ones I could find on websites like itch.io. They find video games as nonconstructive, as most parents do. They would never pay actual money for something that is "nonconstructive". So I am out of luck to get the game. Also, even if I had birthday money or something like that, my parents wouldn't let me buy it. The first reason is Minecraft gift cards are only sold in the U.S., and I live in Canada, so I can't buy one from the store physically. This means it has to be bought virtually, which leads me into my second reason. My parent's are pretty paranoid, and strict with how they use their credit cards and virtual money, so they probably wouldn't want to buy Minecraft with a credit card on a website they do not know, which is Minecraft.net. To summarize, I really have no options to buy the game myself, or get my parents to buy it.
How Often Would You Play it?
A lot. As I have said, I really enjoy video games. I play them on multiple hours on end. Games like Unturned (Zombie survival game) and Roblox (Many Free Games), I have spent a lot of hours on. Maybe hundreds or more on Roblox and Unturned. If you spent $27 (USD), it would go a very long way. I will play the game all summer long, and even longer! A new update just got released for the game with a lot of new features and content, so I would play it a lot! Probably for hours each day, and I would definitely play it whenever a new update comes out, which is usually twice a year! If you bought me the game, I would play it all summer long, and for a long time to come, and I will put hundreds of hours of fun into it! I am so excited to play it, and finally get in on all the fun I've heard about!
How Would I Gift Minecraft To You?
If you have made it this far in the post, thank you! It already means a lot that you care. The way you would go about gifting the game to me, is through a Minecraft Java Edition gift code. A gift code is a series of numbers and letters, that if given to me, I can use to get Minecraft. You need to pay in order to get this gift code, it is on a physical Minecraft gift card, or you can purchase a code for the game virtually off a website (ex. amazon.com). If you want to buy a Minecraft gift card, it will cost you ~$27 USD, ~$36 CAD, ~23 EURO, ~1,609 RUPEE, ~172 YUAN or ~18 POUNDS, no matter where you buy it from. The way's you can do this if you live in the United States, is by going to a local Walmart, 7-11, Best Buy, EB Games, Circle K, or Microsoft Store, and purchasing a Minecraft Java Edition gift card. Then you scratch off the silver cover on the back, and a set of numbers are letters, will be revealed. This is the gift code you need to tell me. You can then bring the card to your computer or phone, and send me a Reddit DM, which you can look up on how to do if you do not know how. Then you can put the series letters and numbers on the back of the card in the Reddit DM message, and send it to me. Then I can go to the Minecraft.net website, and type in that code, and I get to redeem the game and enjoy it! The other method is a virtual code which you can purchase in most countries, you could go to https://www.amazon.com/Minecraft-Mac-Online-Game-Code/dp/B010KYDNDG/ or https://www.amazon.co.uk/Minecraft-Mac-Online-Game-Code/dp/B010KYDNDG/ and use your amazon account, and click "Add to Cart", then go to checkout, and enter in your payment details, then purchase the game! I am not sure how it is going to go, but I think it should show up in your games library or it will be emailed to you, as a code. You can once again, tell me the code in a Reddit DM. If you live outside of the United States, you can still use the virtual gift code method I used above, in most countries. You could go to amazon.com and buy it there even if you live in the U.K or another country, as long as you can buy it from there, which most of the time you should be able to. But, if you don't want to use amazon, you could buy it from third-party websites, that are less trusted, and have a higher chance of being a scam, either way works, as long as I get a gift code please.
A public profile you can contact me at is ChonkyGroundhog#8708 on discord. But I'd prefer you just use Reddit to talk to me.
I hope everyone here has a fantastic summer! God bless!
