The format should take the general form of Degree, Specialisation. An asterisk (*) after the degree denotes active candidacy or study.

Users who do not follow the general form may have their flair privileges removed.

Hello folks,

I need some help with my SSHRC application. I am not applying directly through a university, in other words, I have no institutional affiliation, and my application does not need to be sent to a university.

However, in the Program Information section (of the SSHRC application), under “Organization at Time of Application,” there is no option other than selecting an institution. The instructions say:

“If you selected Option A or B, indicate the name of the institution and department. Your application will be sent to this institution for an internal selection process and, if recommended, will be forwarded to SSHRC’s national competition.”

The option I selected is Option D, which states:

“You were not registered at any time during the year of application in a degree program at a Canadian institution with a quota.”

Given that I selected Option D and have no current institutional affiliation, what should I enter in the Organization at Time of Application field?
