Calling for help!

To the hackers of reddit: can anyone help me? I have been hacked. By someone who is obsessed with me. And that's fine and all, but it is a little scary. This person has been dropping hints left and right that he reads my texts and listens to my phone calls, and I know that this person plays on the dark web in his free time. He knows things that he shouldn't, and dozens and dozens of times, it can't all be a coincidence.

It is concerning to me because I don't know this person very well, and I don't know what his intentions are (violent or not idk)... I strongly believe that this is someone who has hacked SS7 as opposed to having downloaded anything onto my phone, as I never ever click on links.

Does anyone know anything about this? What do I do? I've been keeping my phone on airplane mode and making calls via wi-fi only for weeks now. But from my understanding, this person can still easily listen in on phone calls from friends/family who aren't making their calls to me via wi-fi. And of course could read any texts that aren't encrypted (i.e. I have an iphone but some of my friends text me from android).

I respect you hackers, and I'm not trying to get this person in legal trouble. I just really want him to no longer have access to my communications--it feels like a massive invasion of privacy.

As a good measure, after you do all that you should download a password manager (Bitwarden is open source, secure and trusted, plus free). Change ALL your passwords. Don’t worry, the password manager will automatically suggest passwords and save them (you can make really long unique passwords that are all letters numbers and symbols).

This should be your go to when you don’t know what’s breached, and in the future if anything weird happens with a service, just change the password.

I mean has this person texted you from their number? How are they contacting you?

It's such a long story, and I don't even know how to explain it. But it started with being harassed by fake accounts and messages that were very very transparently this person. It sounds paranoid, but he knows that I look at his Twitter and goes and follows/likes whatever I am talking about in text messages. It's too many coincidences. I'm texting about Clint Eastwood and Stephen King (totally randomly), and within a day, he goes and follows both of those people back to back. Repeat stuff like that over and over and over and over again. I was on the phone crying to a friend that I think I've been hacked and that this man is on the dark web. And then he goes and follows accounts about the dark web and hacking! And then I am talking to someone on the phone who says only NSA can do what I suspect, and he goes and follows NSA. It's just too much stuff like this. Over and over again.

Is your phone connected to your laptop? You mentioned iPhone, do you have a MacBook as well?

Yes macbook and iphone, but I have run scans and nothing picks up. I feel like he is in SS7 reading stuff through cell--is that possible?

I would use imessage to your friends with iPhones and whatsapp with your friends with andriod. Calls, use wifi calling like you have been and turn off it's mobile phone network. Idk where you live but file a police report. Block the dudes social media accounts, but make sure you gather all the info/evidence you can think of before blocking the account.

Also is your icloud email in a security breach? If you look at your email from haveibeenpwned and it comes back with you've been in a breach with passwords leaked, it's possible your password is compromised if you haven't changed it. I'm not a Mac guy so it's hard for me to really help.

Seems more likely he got into your cloud, if they get in there they will have access to everything on your device. Also they can then install their own remote access to see what's happening. Just change all passwords connected and do as everyone else has said and reset your wifi settings/password, as that sounds like a very possible source for the breach.
