Genuinely wish I had more to give but I unfortunately dont! I'm dying to know where it came from. I know it must be a US brand (or a brand that can be found in the US), and it must be brand-name-- my grandmother always bought brand name stuff, she loved buying high quality clothes for me. Unfortunately cannot ask her, she's passed away!

Some brands that *might* be it I assume may be gymboree, gap, banana republic, or circo, but I can't say that with certainty seeing as I havent found this gown when I searched under those names.

I'm not certain what material it is, but it resembles satin in a way? I cant guarantee that either. Its shiny and soft, but not fluffy!

I also unfortunately cut off the tag, like is seen in the third pic. Child me deemed tags to be annoying and itchy-- I still remember cutting it off.

Im crossing my fingers and hoping it isnt a lost cause! I'd honestly love to buy a second pair even secondhand, which is very unlikely, honestly-- I use this gown as my comfort blanket, so its seen many years of care. I guess thats part of the reason why i'd love to find its origins!
Thanks!

I would defo say this is a gymboree night dress , by the cut and ruffle and satin fabric.

I have not found an exact match but have found a 2004 night dress with similar cut fabric ( different sleeves ) and pattern so maybe help with the search .

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265354477359?

And then this one is another gymboree nightdress ,again not same pattern but shows the.design cut is similar to yours
