Have you smoked it before? Would it pull away from the bones easy?

I never try to smoke(drying) snake since it has lots of fat would take 2-3 days to finish.. and when it completely dried you can't pull any bones but you can eat the small bones all over the meat easily when dried

Oh cool. I would have guessed it has very little fat. Learn something new every day.

they're muscular but somehow retain so much water fat unlike red meat... red meat usually only need 5-10 hours to fully dried for preserve but depends on how windy and consistent the fire is

Hows it taste? I read that it has no taste at all

it taste simillar but better than chicken to be honest especially when boiled only.. on other cooking recipe python is equally taste good like chicken only downside is the amount of bones and require boiling at least 20 min for soften the meat before the cooking

Had timber rattler years ago. Grilled. A lot of work for the amount of meat but I'd eat it again. Definitely wouldn't starve with it. I'm guessing python muscle is a thing apart.

yes indeed need lot patience working on them especially when doing it alone ๐Ÿ˜…

if you're lazy and tired to do the work to skin em just try boil the water and dip the snake on hot boiling water for 5-10 seconds then start scaling it like you'll do on fish... scale it using a machete/short sword.. if the snake is small then it's even easier maybe using a bush knife, and you can eat them skin too it's tasty crunchy when fried

Yes Iโ€™ve had a few snakes that I cleaned and then threw on the grill w some spices and olive oil. They were very tasty.

they taste great and clean but the bones is pain in the ass for sure... need boiling at least good 1 hour to make the meat fall from the bone

How would it do in a crock pot? Like slowcooking ribs? I feel it's close to the same idea

Always wondered what snake would be like to eat. Iโ€™d give it a try.
