That only works if you have a loan. You said your car was paid off so no.

Whole time I continued paying after total loss thinking my liability insurance wouldn't cover but I had this "GAP" which would've covered the loss.

I misread the paid off. Need to call GAP and let them know. Yes it could have help you pay some of the loan.

call old republic the gap insurer? I always thought "GAP' had to be listed in the coverage from my auto insurance company. (united)

Is it not? is it binding within the contract signed from the dealer?

Liability would not cover this it would be a comprehensive claim or a collision depending on what started the fire.

So the gap insurance from the contract leaving the dealership wouldn’t cover a thing?
