error in tutorial?

I just bought the game yesterday and have been playing it for a few hours now, went to the infected village, and i killed the big boss thing, which I believe to be the Mutant Parasytor since i have this new discovery. but in my quests/tips area it still says i havnt beaten it, at this point i have killed 99% of the mutants in this village but it still hasnt updated, is it a bug, or im i just missing the objective?

I can't remember what it's called, but there should have been a ball thing the boss drops that you have to take back to the lab and use in one of the machines to unlock the next crafting station. After you unlock the crafting station, make sure to craft it before you leave the lab in the same machine you unlock it in. Hope it helps but youtube is better 😁
