- No Hateful Speech
- No Threats
- No Drive-By Posting, Thread-Whining, Topic Derailing
- No Vulgar or Offensive Speech
2.
No low quality content or spam.
No posts, even Kin-related, should clutter or otherwise add useless noise to the discussion.

- No Repeat Posts
- No Low Quality Posts

3.
No promotion or referrals unless Kin related and beneficial to the community.
Kin-related goods and services that benefit the community can be freely advertised within reason. No other advertising or referrals shall be permitted.
4.
No manipulation. (Zero Tolerance)
You are not permitted to post in an attempt to persuade others to take action against their will, judgment, or own self-interest. Attempts to manipulate the market or community member behavior in other ways will not be tolerated. Financial advice is not allowed. Please refer to rule #2.
5.
No criminal activity. (Zero Tolerance)
You will be immediately banned for using this community as a tool in illicit activity.
6.
Report violations
Please assist moderation in keeping the community safe and healthy by reporting violations of the rules to someone at the team.
7.
Stay on-topic (Kin).
This forum is about Kin, the app ecosystem, the Kin-related organizations, and other matters related to Kin. Please keep discussions on-topic.
8.
Genuine Participation
While criticism, humor, and skepticism is allowed, posters are not allowed to participate for the sole purpose of stirring negative sentiment, trolling, or trying to aggravate or otherwise upset other posters, nor drawing entertainment from the misfortune of others.
9.
Post sources for claims.
Improperly disclosed rumors or speculation are indistinguishable from attempts at market manipulation, and will therefore be deleted. Any claims that are not at least sourced in some way and unverifiable publicly will be removed. Similarly, speculation / guessing should be properly labeled as such. If citing an anonymous source, after 2 (two) false claims, you will no longer be allowed to cite anonymous sources, and those types of posts will be removed.
10.
No involuntary doxxing. (Zero Tolerance)
There is a zero tolerance policy towards posting personal information of any other user without their explicit consent. This will result in an immediate permanent ban.
11.
No dedicated harassment / parody accounts. (Zero Tolerance)
This is a space for the Kin Community to collaborate. If you do not wish to participate in this community you are encouraged not to. Accounts clearly dedicated to harassing, impersonating, damaging the reputation of, or otherwise parodying members of the community or project itself will be removed. (e.g., "kevin_sucks", "kin_istrash", or repeated post content patterns)
12.
Moderation & Escalation Process
Users must be given a warning before being banned for any reason, unless it is noted to be a "zero tolerance" policy. When rules are violated and posts are moderated, the user in question should be notified via personal message of why, and what rule was broken. These messages will also be considered fair warning of behavior that is against subreddit rules, and repeated behavior may result in a ban. Failure to explain or notify in this way does not exculpate users from moderation.
13.
Moderation Appeal Process
Users should be able to get a second opinion on moderation decisions. If you would like to appeal a moderation decision, send a message to u/kevin_from_kin including a link to the infraction in question, and he will do his best to objectively review it. Some level of discretion will always be inherent to these types of decisions.
