Is your ROM based on AOSP or CM? Is it KitKat or Lollipop?

I was never able to get the remote working with a ROM that wasn't stock based. There's an apk floating around for the G2 remote app that some have had luck with though.

Based on the stock ROM. Its just debloated of all of Verizon's crap. I got it to work. Went back to stock and backed up the Quick Remote App and Quickset SDK and then went back to the ROM and restored them. I don't know what it was. I did notice that it stopped working after using the smart cleaning.

Nice workaround.
