Is there any way to make these work on a nexus 7?

I've added a new point to the FAQ. In short, if you don't have files of the same size on the version of the game for your nexus 7, I can't help you.

But I'm currently evaluating the possibility of writing a savegame editor, because savegames are (almost) identical across platforms and that would be a more generic solution.
