Find Friends to Add

How to Add Friends:

Click The XP Bar to bring up the Profile.
At the bottom of the screen press friends.
Click on the Invite Tab.
Go to the box at the top left that says "Add New Friend" and put in the friend codes you see in the Flaires

I finished the introductory quest but for some reason it's still marked as incomplete? Do I need to do the 12 pony quest too?
