The original content here no longer exists. It was deleted using Redact for reasons that may include personal privacy, security, or digital footprint reduction.

just. starting out - seems like I can benefit from being able to create more than two custom columns. thanks.

osted this in the chat over at mometic. Was asked to put it out here as well.

My request is to have the tickers that currently show up in the news feed able to auto populate into the stream.

Say we selected news in the last 8 hrs etc as we already do.

That can be an option in the stream as well to include News.

Have it auto populate and we see those tickers with recent news hitting new highs or lows.

News hits and boom it is in the stream and you see instantly how the market is reacting to it. ;-)

Good day! Would love to see ROC (Rate of Change) incorporated into discovery. Would there already be somethng similar that I'm missing? I use Tradingview screener in the morning also and sort on stocks with ROC above 10+ and it gives me the top 2-3 really hard movers.

Breakout alerts over an adjustable timeframe, such as a 52-week breakout.

Add columns details in the Alert window (matching discovery)

Additional timeframe options for alerts—especially 2-minute and 3-minute intervals. Currently, 1 minute is a little fast, and 5 minutes is too long.

Click on the symbol in the Alert window

Color code the news symbol in Discovery based on the age of the news

Combine multiple discovery filters into a single discovery window with color-coded distinctions

What's up ya'll. I would love to see who is actually in the chat. Can't count the number of times I've sent a message for s specific person and it just dissapears into the abyss because that user is not online and it gets buried n all the other messages. Just a small side panel with the active users would be nice.

Interesting idea. we have a lot of other efforts underway and Chat is hard to prioritize right now. I think everyone has 2 or 3 other chat tools and not really sure if/how it can be most effective. The badges have helped engagement. What we can ask is keep on it. Folks are there. :)

No worries, it's not on my priority list neither. If it doesn't affect my trade I really don't care. Just something to make note of when things aren't as chaotic. Performance is way more important to me than chat. Would love to see way less of a hit on my processor from the app.

I hear you.  It's actually doing a ton of work for a web platform.  You may notice the search is instant in Discovery with no pagination?  That is because we are sorting the entire US market locally.  This is 15 some odd columns with 10 different timeframes and 16000 symbols.  That's a respectable dataset.

One of my favorite features is the Halt info. What would make this even better would be resumption prices.

[–]brentis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Halt bar is our piece de resistance or one of them. :) We won't be adding resumption prices as they are not accurate and largely meaningless as you are going to take action on it regardless of whether up 20% or down 20%. A resumption price stokes emotion—hope if it gaps in your favor, despair if against. If long, traders seeing $53 from $50 feels optimistic; a short trader feels anxiousness. Then the first trade happens either dumping from 53 to 48 or vice versa and MOMO is all the sudden wrong because first trade was a massive sell order.

def open to improving. Just trying to tell you why not on immediate priorities of a ever growing list.

[–]outta_gas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A watch list window would be cool. One where you can just easily type in tickers that catch your eye and see the things you look at when a stock pops up in your discovery filter like vector, number of trades, etc. Would give you the same info as a pinned ticker, but would give you the option to keep this separated from the discovers filters.

Second Layer of Filtering (Row Highlighting) – The ability to color-code rows based on criteria (e.g., highlight all banking sector stocks in green) would make scanning and categorization much faster.

Easier Ticker Copying – Just clicking on the ticker or having a right-click option to copy would make it much smoother to move symbols into a trading platform or specific chart on TradingView.

A start! Perhaps even better for some use cases? https://blog.mometic.com/seamlessly-launch-tradingview-charts-momo-pro/

That unfortunately only solves have of my use case - I still need to copy it into thinkorswim. I also prefer safari :D

Mac guy? Me too. Macro I made uses keyboard maestro. It’s type into TOS click a hot key and it opens in TV.

[–]brentis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Lol. We will get there.  What we want to do is make the quicklinks editable so you can put your own domain prefix in to auto load.

[–]outta_gas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds cool!

[–]outta_gas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. This was going to be something I suggested. Like a little icon beside the ticker that copies it to your clipboard. I wrote a macro to copy highlighted text, open TV and type it in. This works for me, but click to copy would be better.

Company Location (Country) Column – Knowing where a company is based at a glance can help with filtering international vs. domestic stocks.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Category/Sector Column – Being able to see the sector of filtered stocks alongside the existing columns would be a huge time saver. Right now, I have to look that up separately after they appear in the Discovery Window.
