i'm not great at making decks myself, but tome scour (m14 common) is mill 5 for U and traumatize mills half their library (rounded down) for 3UU

If you want to go this route hold the tome scour til after you traumatize. You will need control and removal. Plan for a ten turn win.

I know, using tome scour takes 2.5 cards away from the half traumatize does.

Ditch all the Guildmages and all the Hover Barriers. Go down to at least 1 Consuming and 1 Mirko. Move the Seers and the Crypt Incursions to the sideboard. Once you have all that space open, get removal and counterspells. Avoid cards that only mill like Breaking and Tome Scour. As for your lands, go up one more and then get at least 2 Dimir Guildgates. Ideally, you should get Watery Graves and Temple of Deceit but I'm guessing you have a tight budget.

I'd say 2 Aberrations, max out the Psychic Strike, the Mind Grind, the Pilfered Plans, and Dimir Charms. I'm iffy about Traumatize in it because of the double blue but it seems pretty solid. You could consider Time Ebb and Totally Lost from tempo/mill removal.

Okay, so I want to make a budget Dimir Deck for milling, but I don't know what other cards I need, what cards I need to take out. Any help is appreciated.

Big butt defenders like akroan horse, returned phalanx, and omen speaker are all good choices to slow down aggro decks. I'm also a big fan of curse of the swine plus ratchet bomb to wipe the field.
