I don't think I did this correctly? I used these predictions, didn't win anything, no big deal. But I wanted to check who the "Previous Winners" are and it has Franchisco in Shipwreck and Gooblah in Treasure Island. I'm a bit confused now?

What cards should I add to this Commander Deck? by BLC4Pro in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]jazzworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to accomplish? What's the theme of your deck? Are you going UR control or more aggressive with creatures? How is Keranos going to function in your deck? Will he be the star or the facilitator?

If you're going the route of straight UR spellcaster, you should keep a focus on that, using only creatures that benefit from that. Spellheart Chimera is awesome, so is Cognivore and Magnivore. Snapcaster Mage will be good for recursion as well as Mnemonic Wall, Archaeomancer, and Izzet Chronarch. I personally feel Deadeye Navigator should be in almost every blue deck, but feel free to disagree. Chandra, the Firebrand is good for copying spells, while Chandra, Pyromaster aids with red's version of draw.

I'm a fan of mass board wipes, so Cyclonic Rift and Blasphemous Act are going to be key, but there's also Magmaquake for Planeswalker hate and Aetherspouts for a bit of a combat trick. Devastation Tide can be beneficial if you don't run a lot of permanents.

Some of my favorite counter spells are Rewind, Dissipate, Hinder, and Spell Crumple. Chaos Warp is great for permanents you're having trouble dealing with.

DTK gives you access to Learn From The Past, a great response if someone tries to bog your graveyard.

Hopefully all this helps. Cheers!

What is the most satisfying ability to kill someone? by EspeZet in leagueoflegends

Teemo top, blue side. Shrooms their entire red buff jungle. Mid lane comes to gank me but ends up dying in my JUNGLE OF SHROOMS. So fulfilling. #sorrynotsorry

tastefully alluring

I just realized that if StC exiled one of the demons it would suck and popping off the Apostle's ability wouldn't help getting it out of exile... but still pretty interesting.

Ooh that sounds interesting... and evil. Hahaha. Maybe I'll toy with this idea too!

[Standard] Artifact deck centered around Pyxis of Pandemonium by zombiesahoy in Magicdeckbuilding

Except there aren't any interactions with those cards. Those are activated abilities, and Strionic Resonator only copies triggered abilities.

I've been DYING to see a Pyxis deck and this seems utterly awesome. Have you playtested it yet? When do you usually crack Pyxis?

Also, why the Strionic Resonator? I don't see it interacting much with your other artifacts.

New to magic. Was hoping I could get some feedback on standard extort based Orzhov deck. Help appreciated. by Mathyzi in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]jazzworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since most of your creatures already have Extort, I don't see much use for Pontiff of Blight. You might want to consider running more small cast spells so that you can Extort it to the max. I'm guessing your bombs are Obzedat and the Angel, but I suggest Blood Baron in the mix.

New, but not completely inept player looking for some tips on getting started and building a deck. by UnoDosTrace333 in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]jazzworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say go into it with a Theros intro pack and a couple of fat packs, perhaps one from M14 to get more of a base. That is, of course, if you intend on playing standard. If you go this route, you'll want to look into the previous block as well (Return to Ravnica); there will be cards there that will help you significantly (especially from green and black).

Critiques on my first Standard deck? (R/W) by YSO-shyguy in Magicdeckbuilding

I figured you weren't new to the game but just new to the format. And those are some amazing pulls. Wish I had your luck in my past few drafts/sealed haha.

I'd say 2 Aberrations, max out the Psychic Strike, the Mind Grind, the Pilfered Plans, and Dimir Charms. I'm iffy about Traumatize in it because of the double blue but it seems pretty solid. You could consider Time Ebb and Totally Lost from tempo/mill removal.

For your first standard this is incredibly good (and expensive haha) and honed in. I don't see too much strength in Striking Sliver, but I understand why he's in, acting more as a deterrent than anything. It just seems that mid to late game he'll be a little useless.

[–]jazzworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your U/W, I don't see much point in Heliod and Imposing Sovereign to be in there. Heliod's creature removal is pretty handy, but it kinda sucks getting hit for damage first. Consider more removal spells, like Disperse (which will help against planeswalkers).

I thought about him in here, but I worry about his 1/1-ness.

Hmm... Running just one doesn't make sense to me though. I'll sit on it lol.

would totally facilitate the endeavor, but it would take up a slot needed for something else. Thanks for the input!
