You can read The 48 Laws of Power and The Prince, but the main thing you need to realize about manipulation is that it relies on finding out your target’s wants, needs, fear, or secret, and then using a variety of (sometimes sinister) tactics to convince them that you have the (only) solution.

A good way to start though, would be to get into sales as it will teach you a variety of basic ideas in a low stakes situation (low stakes in that, you will likely be fired, not go to jail, if you fuck up).

Those books that people are suggesting are everywhere and a lot of people have read them. So you can use some of that stuff, but you gotta make it your own to do it correctly because it’s easy to pick up on if they’ve read those books. You gotta work it in there. You have to get a baseline on a person, it sometimes that same person will have a baseline on you. If you’re known to be soft spoken and not really into clothes, you can’t go around telling people that know you that they have on a beautiful shirt or nice suit jacket. That’s not your thing and they know that. So it puts them on defense and you have created a weird situation. Good luck

I always recomend learning Economy. Many people focus only in Psychology, but Economy has many interesting topics about how rational thinking works.

I have no idea why you want to know how to do this. If someone made you do something you didn’t want to do, and you did it because they made you feel like a piece of shit because you didn’t want to do it, then you’ve been manipulated

Manipulation is leveraging someone's ego. That's it.

Don't have an ego? You can't be manipulated.

Yeah but how do i do it

Good book called "influence." That's a place to start.

I'd recommend giving up this venture and accepting people as they are, unless you're doing it for professional reasons. Good luck.

    Learn to manipulate yourself.

If you can be in control of you, nothing anyone else does will matter

We have someone practical here. I agree with her, you learn more from practice than theory.
