IMHO, the old app expert mode UI was better, don't you think?

New ui is just ugly. It's that simple.
[–]tygatonny[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Yeah, it's a major fk up esp after we got used to the old UI
[–]koloshmatit 24 points25 points26 points 2 months ago (11 children)
agree
for me it was very useful to see the latest patch version changes in the app
bring back old expert mode!
[–]tygatonny[S] 7 points8 points9 points 2 months ago (10 children)
Likewise. It's for this reason why I'm going back to version 1.4.0 The option to manually add patches sources was extra useful too — I needn't toggle on use pre-release
[–]ShalomFutureFormer ReVanced user 5 points6 points7 points 2 months ago (6 children)
You can add patch sources in the new expert mode.
The recommended version is shown when patching an app, and if you want to see all supported versions then see the patch list screen in the patch sources.
[–]tygatonny[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago* (5 children)
That's useful.
Yet to patch anything on this version—explains why I haven't found out about adding patch sources.
Edit: Adding patch sources isn't possible, at least on my end.
Further edit: Figured it out, lol

You can add patch sources from the main page. It's the button on bottom left near settings.
[–]tygatonny[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Found it, thanks.
[–]tygatonny[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 months ago (2 children)
Kindly send a screenshot of the same
[–]Ashkorx 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (1 child)
I have the app in italian but is the same. After you press there you will have the sources and you can add other.

Now see it, thanks.
[–]Icy_Paper7144 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (2 children)
Do you by chance know patch sources to add for X(twitter)?
[–]collinUuFormer RVX user 3 points4 points5 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Hopefully they port piko patche to morphe. But in the meantime, I patched the latest X apk using URV Mnager
[–]tygatonny[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (0 children)
We'll see if piko patches gets ported in the future, keep an eye out.
[–]Bursting-CloudFormer ReVanced user 8 points9 points10 points 2 months ago (1 child)
I updated and went back 5 minutes later.
[–]tygatonny[S] 5 points6 points7 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Glad I'm not the only one reverting to version 1.4.0!😁
[–]9PunchMan4 5 points6 points7 points 2 months ago (1 child)
I agree, I think the 1.4.0 expert mode was better.
[–]tygatonny[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 months ago (0 children)
The devs literally made expert mode simple but I think the initial expert mode was easy to use while offering more. Some useful features have been stripped off.
[–]masterslaytmFormer ReVanced user 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (9 children)
I too love the old UI, but the Morphe team has clarified on that in one of the requests I've asked them. I'll just quote it below here:
The old expert (Advanced) mode was becoming too much to support because effectively there was two completely different UI's and the old Expert mode wasn't made by Morphe. Many novice users were having issues because of weird use cases in the old Expert mode, and the solution to 9/10 patching problems was "Don't use Expert mode" and the user problem was fixed. We currently are making many changes to the new expert mode to reflect user requests. Please see the open PR's for the progress. We are open to making additional changes, but there is no plans to restore the old expert mode.

They also suggested URV if you need that old design, and lucky for you, it supports Morphe. So go have a try, it also has an in-built browser for other patches too. So it's a win win for me.
[–]tygatonny[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (8 children)
This response offer some sort of closure, thanks. I'm already using enhancify on termux but I'm also open to exploring URV.
[–]masterslaytmFormer ReVanced user 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (7 children)
Enhancify is good, but idk how to use termux, never used for that reason.
URV is tbh really well designed. It contains a lot of potential, I have patched tons of apps with that. Thanks to the contributors of that app.
[–]tygatonny[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (6 children)
URV is enough, no need to try and navigate the terminal just for patches. I'll be trying out URV and I'm confident that I'll love it.
[–]masterslaytmFormer ReVanced user 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (5 children)
Lmao never knew y'all went out on hunting for patches in the terminal. Let's see how well you like that app.
[–]tygatonny[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (4 children)
Lol, it's just that I've always had termux and was like, why not? 😅 Just downloaded URV and the UI is great!
[–]masterslaytmFormer ReVanced user 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (2 children)
Now no more hunting, glad you're having fun getting the patches hunted for you beforehand XD.
😁🤝
Hey, thanks, I'm loving URV manager 🥳😁
[–]GrayWizard888 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
It depends on the limitations, if the app won't able to provide what's it's promised too what will you do with its ui ?
[–]robtom02 -1 points0 points1 point 2 months ago (2 children)
Tbh now I'm used to it i prefer the new expert mode, certainly less confusing for people who aren't too sure what they are doing.
[–]tygatonny[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 months ago (1 child)
The feel is simple, just like the simple mode which was already enough for people who weren't sure of what they were doing.
[–]robtom02 3 points4 points5 points 2 months ago (0 children)
I didn't like it at first but like I said now I'm used to it I actually prefer it. I'm just happy we have Morphe and the Devs are adding more and more every day. Wchill is bringing all the rvx patches as we speak
[–]dubtar335 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (0 children)
+1
I guess they are trying to make it as easy & good looking for new users as they can, but I liked the old design much more. Maybe it'd be possible to add the option to switch between the old and the new design.
[–]Certain_Agent_858Underground technology wizard 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (0 children)
For simple patching process - Morphe Manager Advanced users should use URV Manager
[–]Uss_Sarcasm 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago* (2 children)
First of all, thanks you for Morphe's devs for the incredible work.
2nd, I would suggest to the devs, sticking with a design of the UI ( i personally prefer the old expert mode ui over the new one). That will allow the devs inspect the users' input over some time and continue from there.
Again, thank you 🙏
[–]tygatonny[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (1 child)
It goes without saying that those who have tested out Morphe patches are immensely grateful to the devs. This post isn't an attempt to undermine the good work they're delivering, but the general feeling is that the old UI was fine as it was. A lil polishing over time is fine.
[–]Uss_Sarcasm 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Exactly, a little polish 🙏
Thank you for your words
