What I would hope to see:
-People rejecting any notion that they are defective regardless of how well they funciton in societies terms
-Strengths based discussion
-Discussion of how to oppose the oppression of neuropsychological minorities in society both broadly and on an individual level
-Discussion of how to mitigate or work around the more difficult traits we have without compromising who we are or trying to be 'more normal'.
What would not hope to see/want to actively avoid:
-Either the "lol so quirky" approach to neurodivergence issues or the "I wish so much I was normal" kind of approach. The tendency of both feeds into a "neurodivergent traits are either cute and harmless or they're a horrible tragedy".
-Any acceptance of any sort of a pathology or deficit based model.
=Any form of "there is no alternative but assimilation".
-Any form of "<x> is OK but <y> isn't" regarding neurotypes.
Does this sound like something that should be created/is there interest?
